| Taking the project of Rhinopithecus bieti Community Reserve in Northwest Yunnan carried out by Tuoluoding Community, Tacheng Town, Weixi County, Yunnan Province as a case, this paper analyzed the sustainable community development model of biodiversity conservation and economic and social development from four aspects, including community participation in habitat patrol of Rhinopithecus bieti, promoting community development, carrying out community capacity building activities, and establishing community reserve. By carrying out a series of alternative energy and alternative livelihood demonstration projects, the living standards of community residents have been improved, the dependence of the community on the surrounding natural resources has been reduced, the pressure of the production and living of the community residents on the reserve has been reduced, and the awareness of the community residents on the rational and sustainable use of natural resources has been raised. |
